GNS President Manana Stanley attended the Nutrition Society Summer Meeting in Liverpool - 'Nutrition at key stages of lifestyle’.
The Nutrition Society summer meeting is the major annual event in the UK with the participation of leading scientists from all over the world. At the meeting, the Georgian Nutrition Society was represented by a stand about the society and its activities. Delegates were able to learn about the Tbilisi International Conference ‘Nutrition and Public Health’ - Reviewing the current status: Inspiring improvements,’ planned for 3-4 October. Brief information about Georgia was also presented at the stand.
Dr Stanley had the opportunity to establish useful contacts with representatives of leading British universities. Prospects for establishing professional and university courses in the field of Nutrition in Georgia as well as implementing joint projects were discussed.
