UNS-ICN 2025 Paris: Representatives from the Georgian Nutrition Society (GNS) will have the honour of joining the Nutrition Society of the UK & Ireland team at UNS-ICN 2025 in Paris, where they will gain valuable exposure to the latest developments in nutrition.

GNS will also take the opportunity to promote the upcoming 2026 Autumn Tbilisi Conference at the NS stand, as part of our ambition to host this important event. The joint meeting in Tbilisi, Georgia, will focus on the role of nutrition within national healthcare systems and the integration of nutrition teaching into medical school curricula. In particular, it will emphasise the importance of equipping future doctors with a stronger understanding of nutrition and the latest scientific evidence, recognising this as a vital step towards advancing preventive medicine. At the population level, we firmly believe that prioritising disease prevention over treatment is key to improving health outcomes.

As members of FENS, we look forward to welcoming colleagues from across the federation to Tbilisi. We also aim to encourage participation from our wider region, including other former Soviet republics, many of which may face similar challenges in embedding nutrition within healthcare systems.

The historic and vibrant city of Tbilisi is renowned as a leading tourist destination, offering a unique cultural experience and the warm hospitality for which Georgia is famous.
